began long before it had a name
The Brandt Group’s journey began long before it had a name, rooted in the vision of one man: Dirkie Brandt. For years, Dirkie poured his expertise into various companies, often seeing others benefit more from his hard work than he did. In 2012, he decided it was time to change that narrative, not just for himself, but for his community too.
From the small Northern Cape town of Pella, Dirkie saw more than just limitations. He saw untapped potential in young people overlooked due to a lack of formal education, communities yearning for opportunity, and valuable skills buried under the weight of poverty.
So, he set out to build something different. Not a company designed to compete with industry giants, but one focused on trust, fairness, and giving back. What started as Khai Ma Containers and Rigging is now evolving into the Brandt Group – a name that truly reflects our commitment to growth, diversification, and carrying forward a proud family legacy.
